My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that all students deserve to be treated equally despite their differences. Inclusion shall be an integral part of my classroom management. I feel that our young students are extremely fragile and easily influenced by social pressures. I think that singling out a student for legitimate reasons, or otherwise, is traumatizing and consequently, detrimental to their academic development. I believe it is my obligation to find out what strengths each student possesses through initial diagnostic assessments and then find ways to incorporate those strengths into how they might grasp the concepts I need them to learn. By connecting with my students through trust and consistency, I hope to become a figure they can turn to with any of life’s problems, academic, or otherwise.
