My Background

I was born in Medicine Hat AB and attended Mother Teresa Elementary School, St. Mary's Junior High School, and then went on to McCoy High School. Shortly after high school I joined the Alberta Carpenters Union and earned my Journeyman's Certificate for Industrial Construction. Over the past twenty-five years, I have had the privilege of teaching this fine craft to many aspiring apprentices. I am proud to say that many have earned their Journeyman certificates and some have advanced into supervisory roles. It's because of these young men and women that I have developed a love for teaching and have come to realize how rewarding it is to see my past apprentices go on to excel in their careers. So in March of 2019, I spoke with an adviser at MHC and enrolled into the Education program.
